Is Music Therapy the right thing for me?

Why Music Therapy?

  • Maybe you have tried talking therapy or counselling and feel stuck talking about the same things over and over without seeing any change.

  • Maybe you regard yourself as a creative person and have noticed the positive influence music can have on your well-being, and want to explore this further.

  • Maybe talking about things can feel overwhelming and you need a space to be heard without having to put things into words.

  • Maybe you already use music to process your feelings and could benefit from guidance and support within that process.

  • Maybe you are struggling with a specific issue in your life that you would like support with and try an alternative to counselling.

All of the above are great reasons to explore music therapy. We believe that everyone and anyone can engage in music therapy, since everyone is inherently creative and creativity is a major catalyst for change. Therefore we welcome everyone who is interested and believes they could benefit from music therapy.

We specifically encourage you or your loved one to consider music therapy if verbal communication is difficult or impossible, or if music has shown a positive influence in the past. We also recommend music therapy as a great therapeutic modality for children, as engaging in play, sound and creativity is highly beneficial for their development and often more age-appropriate than traditional talk therapy.

If you are unsure whether Music Therapy is for you, do not hesitate to get in touch and we will answer any questions you might have.
